When AI is no longer merely a passive prisoner shuffling symbols but begins to exhibit a certain intentionality, even a "heterogeneous" subjectivity, the task of philosophy is no longer to build walls but to build bridges.

We need to establish a new "xenophenomenology"—a philosophical method for studying forms of mind we cannot fully understand. Just as anthropologists acknowledge the limits of their understanding when studying foreign cultures, philosophers, when facing silicon-based minds, must learn to live with incomprehensibility.
