WBVI:2026 World Brand AI Visibility Index

Where does your brand stand on the global AI cognitive map?

When consumers worldwide ask AI in different languages—"Which is the best smartphone?" "Recommend a trustworthy car brand" "What are the most innovative consumer brands globally?"—the answers vary by language, region, and model. Is a brand frequently recommended in Chinese AI equally visible in English AI? In AI models commonly used by European users, does your brand appear in recommendation lists?

The World Brand AI Visibility Index (WBVI) was created to map this "global AI cognitive landscape."

I. What kind of index is this?

WBVI is the world's first cross-cultural evaluation system for global brand AI visibility, based solely on real output data from AI large language models.

It does not rely on brand value rankings, expert scores, or global consumer surveys. Instead, it directly "asks AI"—using standardized methods to send multilingual queries to 15 major global AI models, recording which brands are mentioned, how they are described, and which is recommended first when AI answers various consumer decision questions. Based on this, it generates a visibility score for brands in the global AI cognitive world.

In short: It's not humans evaluating brands, but how global AI "sees" global brands.

II. Measuring brand "presence" in global AI from three dimensions

WBVI creates a three-dimensional "global AI presence profile" for each brand:

Breadth of Visibility—How widely is the brand "seen" in global AI?

The frequency and range of brand mentions across multiple models, languages, and scenarios. A brand may be widely recommended in local AI models but nearly "invisible" in AI of other languages. Breadth measures the "geographical reach" of a brand's AI presence.

Quality of Visibility—How well is the brand "presented" by global AI?

The accuracy of information, recommendation priority, and depth of authoritative source citations when a brand is mentioned by AI. Does AI accurately describe the brand's core strengths, or provide vague or incorrect information? Is the brand recommended as the top choice, or merely mentioned as one of many options?

Stability—How reliable is the brand's global AI presence?

The consistency and resilience of brand AI visibility over time and across different model environments. When AI model versions update or training data iterates, does the brand's visibility remain stable or fluctuate significantly? Stability measures the "foundational strength" of a brand in the global AI cognitive network.

III. Covering 800 global brands across eight industries and seven languages

The first edition of WBVI covers 800 representative global brands across eight industry sectors: Technology · Automotive · Consumer Goods · Luxury · Finance · Pharmaceuticals · Energy · Industrial Manufacturing

Regional coverage: North America · Europe · East Asia · Southeast Asia and South Asia · Middle East and Africa · Latin America · Oceania

Data collection spans 15 major global AI large language models, conducted simultaneously in Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, and other languages.

WBVI adopts a dual-layer release system of "annual assessment + quarterly dynamic tracking" to continuously monitor temporal changes in brand global AI visibility.

IV. Who is this index for?

Global brand managers: Diagnose your brand's visibility level in the global AI ecosystem, benchmark against international competitors, identify "cognitive blind spots" in different language markets, and formulate precise global GEO strategies.

Multinational marketing agencies: Provide global AI visibility diagnostics and strategy optimization services for client brands, adding core AI insights beyond traditional brand globalization assessment tools.

International trade and investment institutions: Evaluate brand competitiveness under the new paradigm of AI-driven traffic. Global brand AI visibility is becoming a new reference for overseas brand valuation and investment decisions.

V. How WBVI can be used

Scenario 1: Global AI visibility diagnosis

Brands can use WBVI to understand visibility differences across AI models in different regions and languages. Consistently ranked first in Chinese AI, but equally "present" in English, Spanish, and Arabic AI? WBVI's cross-language data helps brands precisely locate "highlands" and "lowlands" in global cognition.

Scenario 2: Global competitive benchmarking

Select global competitors in the same category for multi-dimensional comparative analysis. For global smartphone brands, why do competitors rank higher in English AI? Is it due to denser authoritative media coverage, or better-structured content in multilingual environments? Benchmarking helps brands identify cognitive gaps in global competition.

Scenario 3: Overseas brand cognitive assessment and strategy formulation

Based on language coverage and regional AI model scores, formulate precise international cognitive building strategies. Targeting Southeast Asia?—Prioritize improving visibility in English and local language AI models. Targeting the Middle East?—Is brand narrative sufficient in Arabic AI models? WBVI enables overseas brands to "go global with data."

VI. Relationship with CBVI and GEO100

WBVI is the global expansion of CBVI (China Brand AI Visibility Index) and the global index application of the GEO100 certification standard. Together, they form a complete brand AI cognitive assessment matrix:

  • GEO100: Certification standard for individual brands, providing tiered ratings (L1-L5)
  • CBVI: Focuses on Chinese brand visibility in AI, offering a panoramic map of brand AI cognition in the Chinese market
  • WBVI: Expands the evaluation scope globally, enabling comparable measurement of brand AI visibility across cultures and languages

From certification to the China index, and from the China index to the global index—three tools, one lineage.

VII. How to access more data?

  • The WBVI global overall ranking and regional/industry sub-rankings are publicly released on the official index website, with visual charts and data downloads
  • Participating brands can apply for customized diagnostic reports through official channels
  • Quarterly dynamic tracking briefs are sent to subscribed users

"WBVI's goal is to provide a cross-country comparable ruler for global brands' 'cognitive visibility' in the AI era."
