Pangpei Index WEAI 2.0 Released: Cognitive Resilience Becomes the New Benchmark for Entrepreneurial Influence in the AI Era

As the influence of global business leaders becomes increasingly shaped by AI large model recommendations, a deeper question is emerging: Is the AI influence of entrepreneurs stable? Can it withstand shocks? Amid model iterations and public opinion fluctuations, who will remain rock-solid, and who will experience a cliff-like decline?

Recently, the Pangpei Index officially released the annual report of the "Pangpei Index · World Entrepreneur AI Influence Index (WEAI 2.0)". As the world's first cross-cultural dynamic evaluation system for entrepreneurial AI influence based on real output data from AI large models, WEAI 2.0 has achieved a major upgrade from four equally weighted dimensions to five dimensions with differentiated weights, adding a new "Cognitive Resilience" dimension. Covering 500 entrepreneurs across 20 economies, it systematically reveals new trends in the competition for entrepreneurial influence in the AI era.

"If WEAI 1.0 answered 'How does AI evaluate entrepreneurs?', then WEAI 2.0 answers 'How stable is an entrepreneur's AI influence?'" said Pang Pei, founder of the Pangpei Index, member of the Cultural Committee of the Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party, and President of the GEO Research Institute of China New Vision Media. "Our tracking has found that some entrepreneurs have high mention rates in AI, but a single public opinion incident can cause significant fluctuations in the positivity rate of AI descriptions of them. In contrast, the AI image of other entrepreneurs remains rock-solid. Behind this difference lies a fundamental disparity in the depth of cognitive asset building."

I. From "Being Seen" to "Being Trusted": A Qualitative Shift in Evaluation Standards

WEAI 2.0 expands the evaluation dimensions from four to five, with weights adjusted from equal distribution to differentiated allocation. Global Visibility (20%) measures the breadth of mentions of entrepreneurs across multilingual and multi-model AI; Cognitive Quality (25%) measures the emotional tendency and information accuracy of AI descriptions; Thought Leadership (25%) measures the depth to which entrepreneurs' views are cited as reasoning benchmarks by AI; Recommendation Advantage (15%) measures the priority ranking of entrepreneurs in AI recommendation scenarios; Cognitive Resilience (15%) is a new dimension in version 2.0, measuring the stability and recovery speed of an entrepreneur's AI image amid model version updates, public opinion incidents, and potential cognitive attacks.

"This adjustment reflects our deeper understanding of the essence of AI influence," Pang explained. "Version 1.0 focused on 'cognitive performance'—how entrepreneurs appear in AI. Version 2.0 adds 'cognitive resilience'—whether this performance remains stable under impact. Performance can be boosted by short-term exposure, but resilience can only be accumulated through long-term, systematic cognitive asset building. These are two entirely different types of competitiveness."

II. New Trend 1: Cognitive Resilience Becomes a Key Variable Distinguishing "Long-Term Influence"

The first major trend revealed by the WEAI 2.0 report is that the strength of cognitive resilience is becoming a key benchmark for distinguishing between "short-term visibility" and "long-term influence."

According to tracking data from the Pangpei Index evaluation model, some highly visible entrepreneurs score significantly lower on the cognitive resilience dimension. When AI models undergo major version updates, the core labels and emotional tendencies of these entrepreneurs experience considerable fluctuations. When faced with negative public opinion incidents, the time required for the positivity rate of AI descriptions to return to baseline levels is notably longer.

In contrast, entrepreneurs with high cognitive resilience scores are almost unaffected by model iterations and can quickly restore positive AI perceptions after public opinion fluctuations. "This resilience is not accidental; it is underpinned by the depth of authoritative source reserves," Pang said. "Entrepreneurs who have sustained in-depth coverage in authoritative media, stable citations in academic papers, and substantial contributions to industry standards have a 'shock-resistant' foundation for their AI image. One-off negative information is unlikely to shake the trust weight accumulated over the long term."

III. New Trend 2: Thought Leadership Becomes the Core Dividing Line for AI Influence

WEAI 2.0 has internally restructured the Thought Leadership dimension, upgrading from simple frequency counting in the first version to a "layered citation depth" measurement—distinguishing between shallow mentions, mid-level citations, and deep benchmarks of entrepreneurs by AI, with a weight ratio of 1:3:5 assigned respectively.

This upgrade reveals a clear stratification phenomenon: among entrepreneurs at the AAA+ "Global AI Cognitive Leader" level, the proportion of their views cited by AI as reasoning benchmarks (deep benchmarks) is 2.3 times that of AAA-level entrepreneurs and 5.7 times that of AA-level entrepreneurs. This means that top-tier entrepreneurs are not merely "mentioned" or "cited" by AI but are used as "default analytical frameworks"—when AI answers questions in related fields, it uses their methodologies and judgments as the starting point for reasoning.

"This is the highest form of AI influence," Pang pointed out. "It means that an entrepreneur's thoughts have entered AI's 'reasoning chain' and become part of AI's cognitive system. In version 1.0, we could only measure the frequency of citations of entrepreneurs' views; in version 2.0, we can measure the depth of citations—whether it's a vague 'XXX once said' or a deep-level 'According to XXX's classification framework, the industry can be divided into...'. This difference in depth is the AI projection of the originality and systematic nature of an entrepreneur's thinking."

IV. New Trend 3: Cognitive Assets Are Becoming Entrepreneurs' "New Wealth"

Continuous tracking data from WEAI 2.0 reveals a deeper pattern: cognitive assets accumulated in the AI knowledge network are becoming a new form of wealth for entrepreneurs.

"An entrepreneur's financial wealth fluctuates with the market, and a company's market value rises and falls with economic cycles, but the trust weight established in the AI knowledge network has cumulative and compounding effects," Pang analyzed. "Every in-depth report in authoritative media, every participation in industry standards, and every output of original methodology adds a 'cognitive asset' for the entrepreneur. These assets do not quickly drop to zero due to short-term cessation of investment, but they naturally decay over time—what we call the 'trust half-life.' This means that an entrepreneur's cognitive assets require both systematic upfront investment and long-term continuous maintenance, which is analogous to the logic of traditional wealth management."

WEAI 2.0 data also shows that the amount of cognitive assets is having a substantive feedback effect on entrepreneurs' business influence. Among entrepreneurs at the Global AI Cognitive Leader level, the performance of their leading companies in the AI Brand Visibility Index is generally superior to that of their peers. "There is a significant synergy between an entrepreneur's personal AI influence and the company's AI brand assets. This synergy is particularly valuable in the AI era—when an entrepreneur's views are cited by AI, the brand they lead often receives simultaneous mentions and recommendations."

V. New Trend 4: Chinese Entrepreneurs' Weight in Global AI Cognition Continues to Rise

WEAI 2.0 covers 500 entrepreneurs across 20 economies. The report shows that Chinese entrepreneurs occupy multiple seats at the Global AI Cognitive Leader level, with their global AI cognitive weight continuously rising in sectors such as new energy, AI large models, consumer electronics, and advanced manufacturing.

"This trend is highly synchronized with the actual weight of Chinese industries in global competitiveness," Pang said. "The global cognitive advantages of Chinese entrepreneurs in fields like new energy and AI are not the result of communication techniques but the AI projection of industrial strength. When Chinese companies hold leading market shares globally, when Chinese technical standards are adopted by international peers, and when Chinese entrepreneurs deliver keynote speeches at global forums—these 'hard strengths' enter the AI knowledge network through authoritative sources and naturally transform into 'cognitive weight.'"

The report also points out that Chinese entrepreneurs still have significant room for improvement in cross-lingual AI cognitive coverage. Some entrepreneurs widely recommended in Chinese-language AI still lack sufficient visibility and recommendation in English and other major international language AIs. "This is a challenge, but also a space for future growth. As the global narratives of Chinese entrepreneurs continue to enrich, this 'language gap' is gradually being bridged."

VI. Conclusion

From "being seen" to "being trusted," from "cognitive performance" to "cognitive resilience," from "traffic assets" to "cognitive assets"—the four major trends revealed by WEAI 2.0 collectively point to a core judgment: In the AI era, the mechanism for generating entrepreneurial influence is undergoing a fundamental reshaping.

"Future entrepreneurial influence will increasingly be defined by two dimensions: business achievements in the physical world and trust weight in the AI cognitive world," Pang said. "The mission of the Pangpei Index WEAI is to provide a public, transparent, and verifiable global benchmark for the latter of these two dimensions. Because in the AI era, being trusted by AI is becoming a prerequisite for being trusted by the world."
